Great Blue Sunset

My day usually starts by watching the Great Blue Heron out our kitchen window and I feel fortunate to see these huge birds so close to home. Sometimes they will land in the tree just over our deck and they will make a loud, somewhat obnoxious squawk, to let us know they have arrived. Their wingspan can reach an incredible seven feet  - they seem so huge flying overhead.
