I used a limited palette to capture an old-world feeling and a bit of nostalgia for this painting of my grandson and his basset hound, Elvis. Anyone who has ever loved a dog knows how much fun it is to just lounge around together on the couch or take a well-deserved break after a good romp-session. These two always seem to wind up in the same (saved) spot on their couch.
