This is one of my
favorite scenes from a nursery in the Skagit Valley. A
friend and I spent a wonderful day taking photographs at
Christianson's Nursery and this pastel painting is a
representation of that day.
Unlike most of my other
pastel paintings, this piece was done on Arches watercolor
paper. From a distance it is difficult to tell what the
surface is but a closer look reveals the highly textured surface of
the watercolor paper. |
