piece was selected for publication in a limited edition
hardbound, full color book titled Richeson 75: Pastels
2009 published in 2009.
Setting
the scene for this one is pretty easy. I am so fortunate
to live
on Whidbey Island (in Washington) and just as I step
outside my studio and look off to the right, this is what
I am presented with day after day. It is no wonder I find
so much inspiration in the beauty of this land graced by
God! The island just across the water is Camano and
between the two of us is the Saratoga Passage, part of the
migration path for the gray whales heading North. What a
life it is!
